This International Standard provides guidance on the human aspects of dependability, andthe human-centred design methods and practices that can be used throughout the wholesystem life cycle to improve dependability performance. This standard describes qualitativeapproaches. Examples of quantitative methods are given in Annex A.This International Standard is applicable to any area of industry where human/machinerelationships exist, and is intended for use by technical personnel and their managers.This International standard is not intended to be used for certification, regulatory orcontractual use.
