This part of ISO 7404 specifies a method of determining the proportions of the maceral groups, (andthe minerals if desired) in coals. It is concerned only with determinations made on polishedparticulate blocks using incident white light. For lower rank coals, additional use of fluorescencemode is necessary to identify liptinites.
