This standard deals with the methods of oxidative gas scrubbing to reduce air-polluting gaseous substances and aerosols as well as odorous substances in waste-gas flows originating from industrial processes. The described method makes it possible to convert many air-polluting substances into less harmful compounds or compounds which can readily be precipitated. To purify waste gas, use is made of gas scrubbers in which the scrubbing medium is brought into contact with the gas components to be removed.
