The AD 2000 Code is structured along the lines of a self-contained concept with regard to pressure loads. For the overall concept ofa pressure vessel made of glass-fibre reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP),e.g. storage, flanges, fluid media, temperature, etc., reference may be made to DIN EN 13121 ss it also corresponds to the overall concept of the AD 2000 Code (refer to the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC para. 16).
This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to the requirements for the materials and manufacture, design and testing of pressure vessels and their components made of textile glass fibre reinforced thermosetting plastics. Textile glass fibre reinforced thermosetting plastics consist of reaction resin moulding materials, preferably based on unsaturated polyester (UP), vinyl ester (VE) and epoxy resin (EP),which are reinforced by glass fibre.
This AD 2000-Merkblatt may be used as appropriate for other fibre reinforcements.
