This standard specifies a method for determining the amount of liquids in a sealant, which are absorbed by a porous substrate. If too much liquid is absorbed, the properties of the sealant can deteriorate and at the same time there is a risk that the adjacent materials will become stained.
The method can be used for all types of sealants containing liquids which can be absorbed by porous substrates.
