- This standard specifies the grades, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of gray castings for forging machinery. This standard is applicable to various forged mechanical gray iron castings (hereinafter referred to as castings) cast in sand molds or casting molds with thermal conductivity equivalent to that of sand molds. Castings cast in other casting molds can also be used as a reference.
