Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for automatic eddy current detection of flaws in seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes (except submerged arc welding). See Table 1 and Table 2 for the acceptance levels of flaws. This standard applies to eddy current testing of steel pipes with an outer diameter greater than or equal to 4 mm. This standard is also applicable to the testing of hollow parts.
