- This standard specifies the test equipment, test requirements, test methods, test procedures, data processing, records and reports of gear transmission efficiency bench. This standard applies to the determination of the efficiency of gear units with independent closed boxes for power transmission. This standard does not apply to the efficiency measurement of some special units, such as compressors, pumps, engines integrated with transmission gears, or gear devices that do not use power transmission as the main purpose.
