This part of GB/T 36702 specifies the structural and performance requirements and test methods for metal chemical irrigation valves. This irrigation valve is suitable for irrigation systems where the water temperature does not exceed 50°C and the water may contain certain types and concentrations of fertilizers or chemicals commonly used in agriculture. This valve is used to prevent backflow caused by back pressure or suction and is not intended for use in potable water systems. Not to be confused with other forms of backflow preventers include pressure vacuum breaker valves, double check valves, relief zone valves, gooseneck rings. This part specifies the minimum design, construction and performance test requirements for chemical irrigation valve assemblies. Including the following components: --- a valve body of a spring check valve with an elastic disc cover on the internal mounting sealing surface; --- a leak valve/vacuum relief valve combination located upstream of the check valve; --- A low-pressure drain valve located upstream of the check valve; --- An inspection port is provided to allow visual and manual inspection of the working components of the valve.
