- This standard specifies the terms and definitions of fire extinguishing equipment, the basic requirements, application requirements and other requirements of fire extinguishing equipment on passenger cars. This standard applies to M2and M3Passenger buses and special school buses (hereinafter referred to as "vehicles"). This standard does not apply to the configuration of fire extinguishing equipment for Class D fire hazards (such as lithium-ion batteries) on electric vehicles.
