- This document specifies the classification and requirements of flat steel sheets for electrical applications. This document applies to the design, production, inspection, etc. of flat steel sheets for electrical purposes, and does not apply to materials made by bonding several layers of steel sheets with adhesives. NOTE: Materials conforming to this document are capable of meeting the specified performance levels. If the user selects a material for a specific application, it should be based on the actual needs necessary for adequate performance in that application, not based solely on this document.
