Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for self-propelled forestry machinery and forestry machinery assembled according to operational requirements. This standard includes general serious hazards, dangerous situations and events that can be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer of forestry machinery during normal use or misuse, such as logging machines, stackers, delimbers, forwarders, timber loaders, Skidders, combined operating machines, combined felling machines, crushing and spreading machines, and multifunctional combined operating machines combined with the above models. This standard does not address hazards specific to individual machines, such as hazards related to specific accessories. Therefore, this standard alone is not sufficient to cover all serious hazards for most machines covered by this standard. This standard does not address hazards related to chain breakage and throwing at the top of the guide bar, cargo handling, remote control, work light requirements, and road safety. This standard does not involve the vibration measurement test device and the working cycle, nor does it involve the inspection method of the noise measurement. This standard does not apply to the hazards associated with the maintenance and repair of machines by professional maintenance personnel. See Appendix A for the list of serious hazards listed in this standard. This standard does not apply to machines produced before its implementation.
