Scope

This standard specifies the general rules for setting the baseline range and sensitivity (such as gain adjustment) when using an A-scan ultrasonic detector for manual testing, with the purpose of ensuring repeatable measurement of the reflector position and echo height. This standard applies to single-crystal or twin-crystal single-probe contact technology, not applicable to liquid immersion technology and multi-probe technology.
