Scope

This standard specifies the pH value, water content, free alkali or free acid, total alkalinity, petroleum ether extractables, ether extractables after acid hydrolysis (mixed industrial fatty alcohols) ), sodium sulfate, sodium chloride content and other indicators of testing methods. This standard applies to the testing and evaluation of powdery, slurry and liquid (aqueous solution) industrial sodium primary alkyl sulfates (excluding any products not related to the preparation).
