Scope

This standard specifies the location where laboratory samples are cut from a single (sheet) of leather, and the method for marking the cut laboratory samples. This standard applies to the sampling of leather processed from various mammalian animal hides. This standard does not apply to the sampling of hides processed from bird, fish and reptile hides.
