- This standard expounds many factors related to electrical insulation materials and system voltage durability test, describes the voltage durability curve, lists the test methods and their limitations, defines the term Guidelines for sinusoidal AC voltage durability of materials and systems. This standard applies to the durability assessment of insulating materials and systems under AC voltage with a voltage frequency of 20 Hz to 1000 Hz. The test principles used in this standard are also applicable to other waveform voltages.
