Scope

This standard specifies the principle, general requirements, imaging system, test block, couplant, testing procedure, result evaluation, record and report of the ultrasonic C-scan method for fiber-reinforced resin matrix composites. This standard is applicable to ultrasonic C-scan detection of defects such as delamination and pores of fiber-reinforced resin-based composite products such as carbon fiber and glass fiber (hereinafter referred to as the inspected part).
