Scope

This standard specifies the principle, samples, instruments and equipment, test procedures, judgment of test results, and test report for the metallographic method to determine the β-transition temperature of titanium alloys. This standard applies to the determination of the β transition temperature of α-type, αβ-type and metastable β-type titanium alloys by metallographic method.
