GB/T 39088-2020 Ships and marine technology—Sound reception systems

Scope: This standard specifies the functional requirements, recommended installation and performance tests of the sound receiving system, and provides guidelines for methods and solutions to meet the functional requirements. These requirements apply to fully enclosed bridges as well as other bridges where such equipment is voluntarily installed. This standard specifies the bridge requirements for ensuring safe and effective lookout on sea-going ships with fully enclosed bridges. This standard applies to the design of ship bridges. It also applies to: a) ordering and procuring personnel for ship and bridge equipment; b) operating personnel and shipowners to ensure that changes made during the ship's life remain in compliance with their requirements.
