Scope

This document specifies the requirements for driver-sitting and ride-on earth-moving machines defined in ISO6165 and off-road telehandlers defined in GB/T35205.1 that are expected to travel on roads. This document specifies appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce the risk of major hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events when these machines are running on the road. This document does not apply to the following situations: --- Machines on outriggers, for example, walking excavators; --- Standing operation with the driver (ride-on or non-drive-on) or remote-controlled earth-moving machines/off-road telehandlers Associated hazards; --- User requirements, including training, operating permits and machine licensing; --- Local use restrictions, such as road/bridge capacity; --- Environmental requirements, such as engine emissions, noise refrigerant or recyclability . Note: More stringent national standards or other regulations may apply.
