Scope: This standard specifies the performance requirements and measurement methods of anti-splash systems for vehicles and trailers. This standard applies to: a) anti-splash systems installed on vehicles of categories N and O; b) complete vehicles of categories N and O equipped with anti-splash irrigation systems defined in 3.1; Wheels covered by cab; d) for N1N with a maximum design total mass not greater than 7 500 kg2Vehicles in this category can be considered to meet the requirements of this standard if they are installed with wheel guards that meet GB 7063. This standard does not apply to vehicles of category G defined in GB/T 15089. The anti-splash devices defined in 3.2 of this standard are not mandatory for the following vehicles; if these vehicles are installed with anti-splash devices, they shall meet the requirements of this standard: a) N, O with a maximum allowable total mass of not more than 7 500 kg1and O2b) For a vehicle chassis with a cab, the wheels covered by the non-cab; c) A chassis without a cab; d) A vehicle that cannot be installed with a splash-proof device under normal use.
