Scope

This document describes the method for determining the Saybolt color of petroleum products using the Saybolt colorimeter. This document is applicable to refined petroleum products such as undyed motor gasoline, aviation gasoline, jet fuel, naphtha, kerosene, white oil and petroleum wax. The color measurement range is from Saybolt color number -16 to Saybolt color number +30.
