Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions for locomotive cabs, protective measures for destructive external forces, protective measures for inertial forces inside the vehicle, protective measures for other sources of hazards, and emergency exit requirements for cabs. This standard applies to the design of cabs for electric locomotives and diesel locomotives. Shunting locomotive driver's cab can be implemented by reference.
