Scope

This standard specifies the basic principles of equipment and pipeline cold insulation design, the performance requirements and selection principles of cold insulation layer materials and main auxiliary materials, cold insulation calculation, cold insulation structure and its main construction technical requirements, etc. This standard applies to the cold insulation design of general low-temperature equipment, pipelines and their accessories <(superscript 1)> whose outer wall surface temperature is lower than the ambient temperature to 77K. This standard does not apply to the cold insulation design of buildings and installations or parts with special professional requirements.
