Scope

This standard specifies the gravimetric method for measuring the corrosion resistance of glass in boiling 6mol/L hydrochloric acid solution. The corrosion resistance of glass is expressed by the mass lost per unit surface, and the glass is graded according to the loss of mass. This standard is applicable to a variety of glasses, especially to those with poor acid resistance.
