Scope

This standard specifies the laboratory paste method of polyvinyl chloride paste resin (P-PVC) using a planetary mixer under controlled conditions. This standard applies to the preparation of pastes for testing and comparing the properties (especially rheology) of P-PVC. Note 1: In some studies, especially application-related studies, other instrumentation and formulation methods (such as methods with stabilizers) may be used. Note 2: This method should not be used if the relative humidity is equal to or lower than 20%, because abnormal results may be obtained under this condition.
