This standard gives common and basic terms and terms for acoustics and related acoustics. There are 914 acoustic terms given in this standard, which are divided into thirteen chapters (chapters 2-14). When a term has two or more definitions with different properties, use a, b, and c to describe them in parallel. Appendix A is Chinese-English acoustic terms, arranged in alphabetical order of Chinese pinyin. This appendix also serves as a Chinese index of acoustic terms. Appendix B is English and Chinese acoustic terms, arranged in alphabetical order, and also serves as an English index of acoustic terms. Nouns (Chinese or English) listed in this standard acoustic terms, when there are two or more synonyms, for undifferentiated nouns, it means that the status of these nouns is equal and can be used. The nouns in parentheses () generally indicate nouns that have been used in the past and can still be used now, but this standard does not recommend them. Words in square brackets [] can be omitted. Words enclosed in parentheses ( ) in a definition are generally comments. The curly braces {} in a noun indicate mainly according to the regulations of the listed disciplines. Italics indicate pinyin.
