Scope
This standard is applicable to residual current without overcurrent protection, whose AC rated voltage does not exceed 440V, rated current does not exceed 125A, and whose action function has nothing to do with line voltage or is related to line voltage. Action circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as RCCB). These devices are mainly used for indirect contact protection of people, and the exposed conductive parts of the equipment are connected to a suitable earth electrode. They can also be used to provide protection against fire hazards caused by persistent ground fault currents due to inoperative overcurrent protective devices. The RCCB whose rated residual operating current does not exceed 30mA can also be used as a supplementary protection measure when the electric shock protection measure fails. This standard applies to devices that can simultaneously perform functions such as detecting residual current, comparing the residual current value with the residual operating current value, and disconnecting the protected circuit when the residual current exceeds the residual operating current value. Note 1 The technical requirements of RCCB conform to the general requirements of IEC755. RCCB is mainly used by non-professionals and does not need to be repaired. They can be submitted for certification. 2IEC364 provides the installation and use regulations of RCCB. 3 RCCBs within the scope of this standard are suitable for use as isolators (see 8.1.3). When excessive overvoltages are prone to occur on the power supply side (for example: the power supply is introduced through overhead lines), special protective measures (for example: the use of lightning arresters) may have to be taken (see IEC364-4-443). Note 4: For RCCBs with a degree of protection higher than IP20, special construction may be required. Special requirements must be supplemented for the following products: - Residual current operated circuit breakers with overcurrent protection (see GB16917) - RCCBs installed in household and similar general-purpose plugs, sockets or appliance connectors or specially used in combination with them RCCB. Note 5: At present, for RCCBs installed in plugs and sockets or RCCBs dedicated to plugs and sockets, the technical requirements of this standard can be used together with GB 2099.1 (when applicable). The technical requirements of this standard apply to normal environmental conditions (see 7.1). For RCCBs used in areas with severe environmental conditions, the necessary technical requirements may be supplemented. RCCBs using batteries are not included in the scope of this standard
