Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the corrosion resistance of glass by boiling mixed sodium carbonate and sodium hydroxide aqueous solution. The alkali resistance of glass is expressed by the mass lost per unit surface area, and the glass is graded according to the loss of mass.
