Scope

This standard specifies the safety technical requirements for operators and other relevant personnel when they enter cargo holds and other closed compartments prone to hypoxia and suffocation accidents. This standard applies to ships and closed compartments engaged in the transportation, loading, unloading and storage of goods that may cause hypoxia and suffocation accidents.
