- Scope
- This standard is applicable to spur gear transmissions with internal and external meshing spur, helical and herringbone (double helical) gears made of steel and cast iron and whose basic tooth profile conforms to GB1356-87. The basic tooth profile is similar to that of GB1356-87, but the gears with slightly different values of individual tooth profile parameters can also refer to this standard to calculate their load-carrying capacity. This standard includes two check calculation methods of tooth surface contact strength and gear tooth bending strength. The corresponding gear precision standard stipulated in this standard is GB10095-88. For gears with other precision standards, when the simplified method of this standard is used to calculate the relevant load factor, it should be converted into the corresponding precision grade of the specified standard.
