Scope
The main purpose of this standard is to ensure the accuracy of sound intensity measurement used for sound power determination in GB/T 16404. In order to meet the requirements of GB/T 16404, the instrument should analyze the sound intensity in 1/3 octave band or 1/1 octave band, and there are A-weighted band levels for selection. In addition to measuring the sound intensity level, they can also measure the sound pressure level and are used as field indicators described in GB/T 16404. This standard applies only to instruments for measuring sound intensity with spatially separated sound pressure microphone pairs. This standard specifies the functional requirements for sound intensity measuring instruments and their associated calibrators. These requirements are intended to use different instruments, including probes from different manufacturers and sound intensity meters composed of external machines, for equivalent measurements, so as to minimize the resulting differences.
