Scope

This standard specifies the structure, performance and test methods of the automobile braking system. This standard applies to the braking systems of M and N category vehicles and O category trailers. This standard does not apply to vehicles with a maximum design speed of less than 25km/h and trailers attached to them, nor to vehicles driven by disabled persons.
