Scope
This standard gives the design guidelines for the design of the work system involving the mental load defined in GB/T15241-1994 and its impact. Work system design includes task, equipment design, workplace and work environment design, emphasizing mental load and its impact. This standard stipulates the reasonable design of work system and the use of human ability, the purpose of which is to optimize the working conditions in terms of human safety, health, comfort, efficiency, etc. Adverse effects mentioned in GB/T15241-1994. Mental load is the result of the interaction of personnel, technology, organization, society and other factors. Therefore, when designing a working system, the influence of the above factors and their interactions must be considered. This standard deals only with technical and organizational factors, not with personnel selection, training and social factors. This standard only specifies the guiding principles in the design of work systems, and does not specify the measurement of mental load and its impact. This standard relates to all work involving human beings (see GB/T 15241-1994), not only cognitive or intellectual type work, but also physical type work. This International Standard is relevant to designers and users of all working systems.
