Scope

This standard specifies the general test method for the colorimetric determination of self-coloured, black and tinted pigments in the natural color system for color comparison with agreed reference pigments. Note: When this general method is applicable to a specified pigment, the provisions referring to this method shall be included in the product standard of the pigment, and the details of any changes required due to product characteristics shall be indicated. A different photometric method for comparing colors should be specified only if this general method is not applicable to a particular product.
