- Scope
- This standard specifies the size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of hot-rolled and forged alloy structural steel. This standard applies to alloy structural steel bars with a diameter or thickness not greater than 250mm. Alloy structural steel bars with a diameter or thickness greater than 250mm can also be supplied upon negotiation between the supplier and the buyer. The chemical composition of grades specified in this standard is also applicable to steel ingots, billets and their products.
