- This guiding technical document introduces the main concepts and mechanisms defined in GB/T 9387.3 in order to satisfy the rationale for some important decisions made in the naming and addressing architecture in the Open Systems Interconnection Environment (OSIE). Although GB/T 9387.3 does not define any form of name and address, this guidance technical document ends with published examples of specific name forms defined by other OSI standards, thus showing the concepts and mechanisms defined in GB/T 9387.3 How it applies to the naming of certain objects.
