Scope

This standard specifies the general safety requirements for the design, manufacture management, use, inspection and maintenance of pneumatic tools (hereinafter referred to as tools). This standard applies to portable tools powered by compressed air used in production and construction. This standard does not apply to pneumatic mechanical equipment.
