Scope: This standard specifies the basic principles and general requirements to be followed to eliminate, reduce and control hand-transmitted vibration hazards during hand-held machinery (or tools) operations. The content includes the following four aspects: identification of main hand-transmitted vibration sources (referred to as vibration sources); reducing vibration hazards through work tasks, product and process redesign; how to choose low-vibration machinery, anti-vibration systems and personal protective equipment; Management measures for vibration hazards. This standard is applicable to the occasions where hand-held machines (or tools) and hand-guided machines are used in various industries, and it is also applicable to occasions where the vibrating parts of the machine or the workpiece must be held by hand during work.
