Scope

1. This standard defines an architectural model based on: a) developing application-independent security services and protocols at OSI upper layers; b) using these services and protocols to meet the security requirements of various applications so that The application-specific ASE requirements are minimal. 2. This standard specifically stipulates: a) the security of communication in the OSI upper layer; b) the support of the security services defined in the open system OSI security architecture and security framework in the upper layer; c) according to GB/T 9387.2 and GB/T 17176 , the placement of security services and mechanisms in higher layers and the relationship between them; d) the interaction between higher layers and the interaction between higher layers and lower layers when providing and using security services; e) the requirements for managing security information in higher layers. 3. With regard to access control, the scope of this standard includes services and mechanisms that control access to OSI resources and resources accessible through OSI. 4. This standard does not include: a) the definition of OSI services or the specification of the OSI protocol; b) the specification of security technologies and mechanisms, their operation and their protocol requirements; or c) content that is not related to OSI communication to ensure security. 5. This standard is neither the implementation specification of the system nor the basis for evaluating the implementation consistency. NOTE: The scope of this standard includes the security of connectionless applications and distributed applications such as store and forward applications, chained applications and applications on behalf of other applications.
