Scope
This standard is intended as a guideline for the application of semiconductor converters with fuses used to protect the semiconductors forming the main arm of the converter. This standard is limited to single-shot or double-shot grid commutation converters, and is also applicable to fuses meeting the requirements of GB/T 13539.1 and GB 13539.4. When appropriate, the general provisions of this standard also give guidance to the converters included in the reference standards GB/T 3859 and IEC 1287-1 in Chapter 2. The purpose of this standard is to make recommendations and describe the characteristics of specific fuses and converters to ensure the correct selection and application of semiconductor fuses in converters. At the same time, a special introduction is given to using fuses to protect the safe operation of converters. The main content of this report is explained through the connection of three-phase converters protected by main arm fuses. Moreover, this also applies to converters covered by GB/T 3859.1 and IEC 1287-1.
