- 1.1 This standard specifies the minimum requirements for recording on the leader and trailer tapes of video recordings to assist users in adjusting equipment for optimum performance before the recorded program begins. This standard also stipulates the audio and video information that should be recorded before and after the recorded program, so as to ensure the normal recognition of the program and the correct insertion and cut-out of the program. 1.2 The signals recorded on these leader and trailer tapes are not intended to be test signals for measuring system performance.
