Scope
This standard specifies the definition of the delivery schedule message (DELFOR) used in the electronic data interchange (EDI) between trading partners in the administrative, commercial and transportation industries. This message is sent by the buyer to the supplier, according to the terms of the agreement or purchase order, giving instructions for short-term delivery and/or forecasting for planning medium to long-term products/services. This message may be used for indications regarding labor and material resources. This standard applies to domestic and international trade. It is based on common business practice and is not limited to a particular type of business or industry. When implementing this standard, the following principles can be followed: ——Describe the delivery plan required by the buyer; ——Define various factors to ensure coordination between the buyer and the seller; ——Provide information that enables the seller to formulate future demand plans, so that Production/delivery of the ordered raw materials in the most economical way.
