This standard specifies the definition, measurement conditions and measurement methods of mobile communication selective call and data equipment. This standard applies to FM radiotelephone receivers that receive selective calling and data information (bit streams, character strings and messages) in mobile communication services with frequencies ranging from 25MHz to 1000MHz, and whose audio bandwidth generally does not exceed 10kHz. Selective call and data equipment suitable for digital selective call, digital control and simple information transmitted through wireless channels in mobile services using frequency modulation (or phase modulation) technology. Most of the selective call and data equipment and the FM radiotelephone receiver are used as a whole to measure their radio frequency characteristic parameters, which does not involve the measurement of digital information itself.
