Scope
This standard specifies the definition of price/sales catalog messages (PRICAT) for use in electronic data interchange (EDI) between administrative, commercial and transportation trading partners. It is usually sent by the seller to the buyer to describe the pricing and catalog information of the goods and services provided; it can also be sent by the buyer to the seller to explain the buyer's special requirements for labels or packaging, etc. Acknowledgment (accept or decline) of price/sales catalog. This standard applies to both domestic and international trade. It is based on common business practice and is not limited to a particular type of business or industry. When implementing this standard, follow the following principles: - A pricing group or pricing item in a price/sales catalog message may relate to goods or services; - Price items are combined according to industry or commercial requirements; - A price/sales The sales and delivery conditions in the catalog message can include: price/sales of all products/service items in the catalog message, a group of product/service items, single product/service items in the message, differences in individual product/service items - A price/sales catalog message may contain product and price information and sales conditions; - A price item line may identify the components of a price item.
