- Scope
- This standard specifies precision level performance tests for centrifugal pumps, mixed flow pumps and axial flow pumps. This International Standard defines the terms and quantities used and specifies general requirements for testing. It also stipulates the precise measurement method of each characteristic quantity in order to determine the performance of the pump, so as to provide a basis for comparison with the performance stipulated in the contract. The scope of this standard does not cover the construction details of pumps and the mechanical properties of parts. This standard also does not prescribe manufacturing tolerances which are purely contractual terms.
