Scope

This standard specifies the general method for the determination of chloride content in inorganic chemical products - the mercury method. This standard applies to samples with a chloride (calculated as Cl) content of 0.01mg to 80mg. When the concentration of mercury nitrate standard solution used is less than 0.02mol/L, the titration should be carried out in ethanol-water solution.
