- This standard specifies the basis and methods for identifying major hazards. This standard applies to all enterprises or organizations that produce, use, store and operate hazardous substances. This standard does not apply to: a) nuclear facilities and factories processing radioactive materials, except for those facilities and factories dealing with non-radioactive materials; b) military installations; c) extractive industries; d) transport of hazardous materials.
