Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for ultrasonic inspection methods of welded steel pipes, testing methods, comparative samples and their dimensions, and calibration of testing equipment to determine water pressure tightness. This standard is applicable to the detection of welded steel whose outer diameter is not less than 16mm, and the ratio of outer diameter to thick wall is not less than 5.
