Scope

This standard specifies the definition, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging and storage of prepaid watt-hour meters with IC cards as the medium (hereinafter referred to as watt-hour meters). This standard applies to IC card type prepaid watt-hour meters for fixed installations and for measuring AC active energy with a reference frequency of 45-60 Hz.
